When using the FormConnect Pro app, sharing is a manual process designed for point-to-point communication.

  • Exporting Records: You can share individual records or batches via Email, Dropbox, Box, Google Drive or Microsoft OneDrive.
  • Format Flexibility: Share data as PDFs for professional reports, CSV/XML/JSON for spreadsheet analysis, or FMC files to send a form to another FormConnect user.
  • The "Open In" Feature: Because it's a native iOS app, you can "Share" a form directly to other apps on your device, such as Slack, iMessage, or a wireless printer via AirPrint.

2. Cloud Syncing: The Apple Ecosystem (FormConnect Pro+)

FormConnect Pro+ introduces automated syncing for users who operate within the Apple environment.

  • iCloud Integration: Your forms and records are synced across your own devices (iPad, iPhone, Mac). If you start a form on your phone, you can finish it on your iPad without manual transfers.
  • Team Collaboration: Pro+ allows for sharing folders and templates with other FormConnect Pro+ users, ensuring that a small team is always working from the same master version of a form.

3. Bi-Directional Syncing: The Enterprise Hub (ProMax)

FormConnect ProMax is our most advanced tier, moving away from simple cloud storage to a dedicated FormConnect Server architecture. This enables true bi-directional syncing, creating a seamless loop between field and office personnel.

The Dedicated Server Architecture

Unlike other versions, FormConnect ProMax app doesn't rely on third-party cloud solutions. It uses a centralized server that acts as the "Source of Truth" for your entire organization.

How Bi-Directional Syncing Works:

  • Field to Office (Auto-Upload): When a field agent completes a form on their iPad or iPhone, the record is automatically uploaded to the server. There is no need to hit "Email" or "Export"—the data simply appears on our server.
  • Office to Field (Auto-Download): If a manager in the office updates a client's contact info or modifies a form template on their PC, those changes are automatically pushed to every field agent's device.
  • Instant Access: This "push-pull" dynamic ensures that team members have instant access to the most recent records and the most current versions of their forms, regardless of where they are.

The iPad to PC Connection

FormConnect ProMax bridges the gap between mobile field work and desktop administration:

  • Field (iPad/iPhone): Optimized for touch, signature capture, and offline data entry.
  • Office (PC/Mac): Provides a high-level view of all incoming data. Managers can log into the server via a web portal on their PC to review records, manage users, and deploy new forms to the entire fleet of iPads instantly.
